Running with a World Class Kayaker: Colin Wong | Old Kenmare Rd

Finn caught up recently with international adventurer and kayaking sensation, Colin Wong, to find out how fitness plays a key role in his life. Colin runs Emerald Outdoors along with his business partner Jaime, here in Kenmare. When he is not busy leading expeditions around the world or helping people appreciate the stunning beauty Ireland has to offer, he finds time to run and train in the gym. In 2015 Colin was a co-leader of Expedition Inception, an undertaking that involved driving overland from South Africa to Uganda. The expedition team accomplished numerous first descents of extreme whitewater rivers in remote locations as they worked to educate local communities on how to best utilize their water resources safely. In 2016 Colin was a part of a 3 man team who completed a world first, kayaking 2000 km across the Arabian Gulf to raise awareness about the pollution of the pristine local waters.
